Some ideas for a new photographer

I know I’m not the best the world has to offer, but I can offer a few of my opinions to get you started. A lot of people talk about mirror-less vs crop sensor vs full frame. My opinion is to take up a crop sensor if pictures are for you or your family. Full frame if you’re serious, and mirror-less in a few more years.
If you’re just starting out but don’t know what to grab and can’t spend hours upon hours of checking different models. I personally think the Nikon D3300 or D3400 are great choices, along with the Canon Rebel series like the EOS Rebel T6i. If you want something a bit more snazzy, you could pick up the Canon EOS 750D or the Nikon D5300.
These should come with a default ‘kit’ lens that’s somewhere between 18 and 55mm. The higher the number, the higher the zoom. Portraits are great from lenses that are around 70-105mm on a crop sensor. 11-16mm is a great place to start if you’re into scenery photography only. If you’re into taking fabulous pictures of food and products, I suggest picking up a macro lens, maybe around 40mm.
These are just my opinions, but I’ll add more topics the more questions I receive. Thanks for reading!
